Clovis Police arrested Bernardo Madueno, 34 years of age, yesterday on one count of attempted homicide. Clovis Police responded in May of 2015 to the area of Villa Ave and Sierra Ave for several calls of shots being fired. They found a female victim with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the street. The investigation showed that the victim’s boyfriend of 16 years shot her and fled the scene.  Madueno then fled the country and investigators have been working with the United States Marshal Service to find and return him for trial. Madueno was found in Mexico and with the help of the United States Marshal Service was brought back to the United States and arrested without incident.
