The Clovis City Council voted unanimously Monday to proclaim a local emergency in the City of Clovis in response to the COVID-19 health threat.
The action took place during a Special Council Meeting held in the Clovis Senior Center, and follows the actions of many other cities across the region and state.
The resolution will allow the City of Clovis to more effectively respond to the growing health emergency and may allow the City to receive disaster funding to deal with COVID-19 and related issues.
