The first shooting occurred at an apartment complex near Sunnyside/Gettysburg just before 3 AM. As people were leaving a party, multiple shots were fired from one car into another car in the parking lot. One person inside of a car was shot at least once, and their friends drove them to the hospital. That adult male remains in critical condition, and our Detectives and Crime Scene personnel are investigating the circumstances. No arrests have been made at this time.

Just before 3:30 AM, the second shooting occurred at an apartment complex near Barstow/Villa. Callers reported seeing an adult male shooting a handgun in front of an apartment. Once the involved apartment was located by our officers, they used a drone to assist them in locating the suspect inside. Officers entered the apartment and detained the male, locating a privately manufactured handgun, also known as a “ghost gun”, next to him. Officers arrested 20-year-old Shakab Alamary of Clovis for multiple firearm-related felonies. Alamary has been booked into Fresno County Jail. Fortunately, no one was injured during this incident.

At this time, no additional information is available regarding these crimes as we continue to investigate them both.
