On 09/18/2016 at approximately 2302 hours, the Clovis Police Department received a call of a robbery that had just occurred in the parking lot of KFC located at 1860 Ashlan Avenue.
The victim told dispatch that the suspects verbally threatened him and his friend with a crow bar while they were inside his parked vehicle. The suspects then used the crow bar to smash out the windows of his vehicle. The suspects stole their cell phones and wallets. The suspects fled the area in a white SUV eastbound on Ashlan Avenue.
Clovis Police Officers arrived in the area and observed a vehicle matching the description in the area of Ashlan and Armstrong Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and the juvenile driver was detained along with four other occupants inside the vehicle. All five occupants, (2) juveniles and (3) adults, were later arrested on charges of Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. All suspects were transported to Fresno County Jail and Fresno County Juvenile Hall. The names of the juvenile arrestees are not being released at this time. The adult arrestees have been identified as Kwasi Sykes (18), Ezequeil Ramirez (19), and Gabriel Recek (18), all residents of Fresno.
Both of the victim’s property was recovered and returned.
