On March 9, 2018, Clovis Police received a call at about 7:20PM regarding an attempted robbery at the Valero gas station at Sunnyside/Tollhouse. Officers arrived on scene within 2 minutes and observed the suspect crossing Sunnyside Ave on foot.  Officers made contact with the suspect. The suspect was uncooperative and was taken into custody with the assistance of a Clovis Police K9. The suspect is identified as 57 year-old Ernest Yetter of Clovis. Yetter is being treated at a local hospital and will be booked into Fresno County Jail on attempted robbery, obstructing a peace officer, and a warrant.
