Last year, Clovis Police employee Codi Ricken created “Shop with a Cop” with assistance from several staff members and Officers. The program fundraises to allow Officers to shop with students who may not be able to afford new clothes before the beginning of the school year. Last year, Clovis Police Officers shopped with eight students from Clovis! Because of a “Shop with a Cop” dinner and dance held last month, we have quadrupled that number of Clovis students, and our Officers were able to shop with 32 students!

With the help of the northwest Clovis Target at Willow/Herndon, our Officers and staff, led by Chief Basgall and  Codi Ricken, all 32 students were provided breakfast before they had the opportunity to “Shop with a Cop”! We would like to thank the community for their amazing support of this new program as we hope to grow it even more in the years to come! A big “thank you” also goes to the northwest Clovis Target and their employees for their assistance today! We hope you enjoy the attached photos!
