According to Ordinance No. 18-07, Article 12. Background Checks 2.2.1201 Applicant Background Check.

All applicants for City employment, prior to being hired or receiving an offer of employment and after the initial screening of the application, shall submit to and provide the necessary information for the purposes of a background check including information regarding criminal history.

Veterans Preference Points Information

Applicants applying for a full-time position may be considered for Veterans Preference Points if they meet the minimum eligibility as defined in the United States Code, Title 5, Section 2108.
