Clovis, CA, March 5, 2025 – The City of Clovis Youth Commission is proud to present Cowboy Cleanup, a new community service event that invites community members of all ages to come together and help clean up the Old Town area before rodeo festivities kick off in Clovis! The event, held in partnership with The Clovis Rodeo Association, is scheduled to take place Saturday, March 29, 2025, and volunteer signups are open now.
The month of April is full of exciting events in the City of Clovis, most notably Big Hat Days, the Clovis Rodeo, and the Clovis Rodeo Parade. These events draw large crowds from all across the Valley and beyond, and the goal of the Cowboy Cleanup is to ensure Clovis is as beautiful as ever when the first crowds arrive. As part of the event, The Clovis Youth Commission is currently seeking 100 volunteers of all ages to join them in picking up trash and beautifying the area around the Clovis Rodeo Grounds, the Old Town Water Tower, nearby City of Clovis trails, and of course, Old Town Clovis itself. The Youth Commission’s Support Committees will also have a rock painting station where volunteers can paint messages of kindness and positivity on stones to leave behind for visitors to find.
The Cowboy Cleanup promises to be a fun-filled morning of community service and teamwork and is a great opportunity for families, friends, and community members to join with one another in making a positive impact. Volunteers will receive breakfast and a t-shirt. For more information and to sign up as a volunteer, visit CityofClovis.com/CowboyCleanup.
