Clovis Police Respond To Armed Robbery Near Minnewawa/Nees

Clovis Police received a call this afternoon, July 28, 2017, just before 5PM, of an armed robbery near Minnewawa Ave./Nees Ave. Officers quickly responded to The Peach Tree Fruit Stand on Minnewawa Ave. just north of Nees Ave., however the suspects had already left.

The employee told officers that she was working at the fruit stand when an unknown male came in, threatened her with a black hand gun, and demanded money. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, and he left. According to the employee, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult in his 30’s, with facial hair, and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and sweat pants. There was a Hispanic female wearing a baseball cap waiting in a white newer model 4-door sedan. The male suspect got into the passenger seat and they were last seen driving northbound on Minnewawa Ave.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or the vehicle. Officers and Detectives are working on the case at this time.
