After months of extensive research, and with the help of grant funding, 15 Clovis PD officers have been issued new body worn video cameras for a trial period.  The research included trying different body camera equipment, and seeking out training, policies and procedures. We also sought input from other agencies, officers, and administrations on their programs. The goal of our body camera program is to accurately collect evidence and record the officers’ contact with the public or other incidents that they may encounter. We hope this program will be a success and in the future hope to outfit all officers with these cameras.
