Clovis Home Rehabilitation Grant Program

ATTENTION CONTRACTORS – WORK OPPORTUNITY

The City of Clovis is looking for qualified/licensed Contractors to be active on the bidding list for the City’s Home Rehabilitation Grant Program.  This program provides assistance to lower-income, owner-occupied households in Clovis for the purpose of making repairs to health and safety-related deficiencies in the home.  Approximately 65 homes are assisted each year, with projects being completed year-round.

Contractors on the bidding list will have an opportunity to bid on all projects for which their contractor’s license permits.  Contractors will receive a description of the work to be completed, and will provide a competitive estimate.

Each project has a maximum assistance amount of $4,500.  Payments for completed projects are made directly from the City of Clovis to the Contractor completing the work.  Typical repairs include, but are not limited to:

·         Water Heater Replacement

·         HVAC Repair/Replacement

·         Roof Repair

·         Accessibility Modifications

·         Plumbing Repairs

To qualify for placement on the program’s bidding list a Contractor must have an active license in good standing from the California Contractors State License Board, and must also have an active City of Clovis Business License.
