On Tuesday, members of the Clovis City Council participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of Solivita Commons, an affordable housing community for families, located at Alluvial & Willow in Clovis.
Solivita Commons, which offers one, two and three-bedroom units, will be home to 60 families. Amenities include a community room, outdoor play structures for children, a community garden, and a dog park.
The project was made possible in part due the partnership between the City of Clovis and the Fresno Housing Authority.
“The City of Clovis is excited to welcome this new affordable housing development, and our new neighbors, to our community. We know that the housing demand is greater than ever and we are grateful to partner with the Fresno Housing Authority in providing a high quality, affordable housing option to residents,” said City of Clovis Mayor Jose Flores.
Clovis City Councilmembers Lynne Ashbeck and Bob Whalen joined Mayor Flores at the event, which was also attended by representatives of Clovis Unified School District, as well as many other community partners.
