Clovis Warming Center

As temperatures continue to drop, the City of Clovis is offering a warming center for those in need. Residents are welcome to stay warm in the lobby of the Police and Fire Headquarters during the evening hours (sunset-sunrise) when the predicted overnight low reaches 35 degrees or lower. While there, participants can expect a warm place to sit, restrooms, and a drinking fountain. The Clovis Police and Fire Headquarters are located at 1233 Fifth Street, Clovis, CA 93612.

All Clovis residents are reminded to take the following safety precautions during periods of cold weather:

Stay Inside – Limit or avoid time outdoors in cold temperatures, especially in wet weather such as fog or rain.

Dress for the Weather – Dress in loose layers and cover all exposed skin.

Warm Foods/Beverages – Consume hot foods and warm drinks, but avoid caffeine and alcohol.

Check on At-Risk Family/Friends – During cold conditions, check on friends and family members who are elderly, medically fragile, or have limited access to adequate warming.

Protect Your Pets – Don’t leave your pet outside for extended periods in cold temperatures, especially in wet weather. If this isn’t an option, be sure they always have access to somewhere warm and dry and consider warm, protective clothing for your pet.
